SUMMARY:Advanced Law Enforcement Sniper Course
DESCRIPTION:THIS COURSE WILL BE HELD AT CAMP SHELBY IN HATTIESBURG\, MS October 2-6\, 2023  \nSTUDENTS MUST HAVE ATTENDED A BASIC LAW ENFORCEMENT SNIPER COURSE BEFORE ATTENDING THIS COURSE!  \nThis course picks up where our Basic Sniper Course stops. Snipers will continue the mastery of principles and concepts of precision scoped rifle\, foundational marksmanship\, and field craft skills as it applies to Law Enforcement operations.  \nThese objectives will be met over five (5) days by presentation and practical exercises at one of the most exclusive training grounds in the US.  \nTopics include an in-depth review of skills covered in the Basic Sniper Course. Snipers will perform a mock sniper mission to include land navigation\, surveillance\, and sniper initiated assault.  \nSkills covered in this course will include range finding with the rifle scope\, engaging moving targets\, and advanced data book development (building a bullet drop chart).  \nParticipants will have the opportunity to test the limitations of their skills and equipment on a 1000-yard range.  \nOur staff for this course includes law enforcement veteran\, John Douglas. John has served as a firearms instructor for more than a decade. His law enforcement master instructor certifications include pistol\, shotgun\, AR and precision rifle. He has been trained by legendary military and law enforcement sniper instructors. His law enforcement career includes patrol\, SWAT entry team\, SWAT sniper team leader\, training coordinator\, narcotics agent\, and protective service agent. John is also a PSO and SWAT instructor. \nClass will be held at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center\, Hattiesburg\, MS (Camp Shelby).
