I am thrilled to announce the first of\, hopefully\, an ongoing songwriter series in Hattiesburg in a listening room environment.  \nWe have partnered with The Mockingbird\, Hattiesburg’s newest private event venue. The Mockingbird is located downtown at 236 Mobile Street-next to the new addition to The Lucky Rabbit.  \nOn October 5th\, we will be showcasing the music and stories of Cary Hudson\, Tyler Tisdale and me\, Drew Young.  \nWe are following the lead set by The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. There will be three songwriters on stage and each writer will tell a story of their song before they play the song. The show will alternate from writer to writer and I am sure that there will be some collaboration and possible guest appearances. The idea is that the focus is on the music and for the audience to really get to know the writers\, how they get their inspiration and their craft. The Mockingbird is a beautiful location and the sound and acoustics are top notch. Since this is a listening room experience\, there will be no television or food being served during the event and we do ask that conversation be kept to a minimum.  \nThe doors will open at 7pm and the show will start at sunset.
