On July 3, 2023 the cities of Hattiesburg and Petal will come together for a celebration of our country’s birthday with a fabulous fireworks display over the Leaf River in Forrest County. Music and activities will take place at Chain Park in Hattiesburg and Petal River Park in Petal. The Petal Area Chamber of Commerce and the Hattiesburg Downtown Association are working together with many private and public entities to produce a first class 4th of July experience for all attendees.
Our goal is to create an event that will draw visitors from surrounding counties to Petal and Hattiesburg and to provide family friendly festivities for residents of both cities. No event would be complete without a variety of food vendors as well as activities for kids. We are actively seeking vendor participation at both sites. This event will not include arts and crafts vendors.
