Veterans Day in Hattiesburg

The City of Hattiesburg will celebrate and honor all of its veterans beginning on Thursday, Nov. 10 with a 24-Hour Vigil followed by the annual Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony presented by the City of Hattiesburg’s Veterans Committee.
These annual events are beloved Hattiesburg traditions, and we look forward to taking time to honor all who have served.
Details include:
– Thursday, Nov. 10 (11 a.m.): 24-Hour Vigil hosted by the USM Air Force ROTC.
– Thursday, Nov. 10 (7 p.m.): 24-Hour Vigil – USM Air Force ROTC will read the 173 names of Hattiesburg’s fallen on the memorial’s pillars.
– Friday, Nov. 11 (10 a.m.): Veterans Day Parade will begin at Hardy Street Baptist Church and end at Veterans Memorial Park.
– Friday, Nov. 11 (11 a.m.) Veterans Day Ceremony will include several ceremonial elements to honor all who have served, including a keynote and the announcement of Veteran of the Year.
The parade and ceremony will be live-streamed from the City of Hattiesburg’s Facebook page for those who want to view from home.
