Partners for the Arts presents a brand-new event, Pops in the Park, Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Southern Station in Spirit Park on the campus of The University of Southern Mississippi.

This event will be the first of its kind in Hattiesburg, Miss. The USM Symphonic Winds will perform a proper pops outdoor concert playing popular music from jazz to pop, rock to big band, film scores to the great American songbook to Broadway hits, conducted by Dr. Colin McKenzie. The concert includes a performance by USM’s own Spirit of Southern acapella student group under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Kilgore. This event is FREE. So, bring your picnic basket, spread out your blanket, and enjoy a new family tradition. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.
