SCRMC Training Drill

SCRMC will be conducting an ACTIVE SHOOTER DRILL August 13.

South Central Regional Medical Center will be hosting our first active shooter drill on site at the main hospital building. This is the first ever active shooter training to take place in a hospital in the United States. This exercise will involve the participation of various law enforcement agencies. This drill is intended to help train SCRMC staff members on how to appropriately respond in the event of a real-life active shooter on property.

This drill is designed to convey maximum authenticity and will occur spontaneously and with realistic, simulated shooting scenarios. There will be various law enforcement agencies involved in the drill, and they may be visible inside and outside the building. Please remain calm and remember “THIS IS A DRILL.”
