The Petal Chapter of the Mississippi Jaycees is proud to announce its upcoming Special Election Political Forum, dedicated to providing a platform for candidates vying for the Petal Ward 2 position. This event marks a pivotal moment in Petal’s political landscape, highlighting a shift away from historically male-dominated representation.
Scheduled for February 7th, 2024, to be held at the Petal Civic Center located at 712 S Main St, Petal, MS 39465. The forum aims to foster informed dialogue and community engagement by bringing together candidates and constituents in an open and constructive environment. The forum will commence at 6:00 PM and will be live-streamed on our Facebook Page to ensure accessibility for those unable to attend in person.
Danyella Terrell, LCSW, State President of the Mississippi Jaycees, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “As an organization dedicated to civic leadership and positive change, the Mississippi Jaycees are proud to facilitate this forum, allowing candidates to address pertinent issues facing Petal Ward 2 and empowering voters to make informed decisions.”
