A poker run is designed to be a fun, easy-going and enjoyable event. For this reason, the following rules and guidelines must be followed to ensure a good time for everyone. The sole purpose of, Poker Run for a Cause, is to be a community involved, charitable event for a local, non-profit organization. For 2023, all proceeds from the Poker Run will be donated directly to The Social Club.

Pre-Registration: Participants may pre-register in person at Hill’s In-House Jewelers or online at www.hillsinhousejewelers.com for an early fee of $15 per person. The last day to pre-register is 8/11/2023. After this date, the registration fee will increase to $20 per person.
Beginning/End: The poker run will start and finish at Hill’s In-House Jewelers located at 1104 Sawmill Rd. Participants may pick up their stamp card starting at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 14th. Stamp cards are to be turned in no later than close of business on Friday, August 18 at 6:00 p.m. We hope by making this a week-long event, more people will have the opportunity to participate, and it will allow for better safety measures.
Number of Stops: There will be 7 stops all located within Laurel to visit. These stops will be provided on the stamp card.
Number of Cards: Participants will receive one stamp on their Stamp card at each of the 7 local stops. When Stamp cards with all stamps are turned in at Hill’s, 7 playing cards will be dealt and recorded on the Stamp card.
Winning Hands: The winning hand will be the highest scoring poker hand (5 cards) submitted. In the event of a tie, the highest 6th card wins. The second highest scoring poker hand will also win a prize.
Safety: In order to make events like this possible, participants must keep in mind the safety of themselves and others. Participants will have 5 business days to complete the Stamp card and turn it in to allow a safe amount of time for everyone who wishes to participate. Please remain respectful of all business stops.

The Cause for 2023: The Social Club
The Social Club provides a sensory-friendly indoor play space and a game room. The Social Club has regulations in place to promote safe and inclusive play for all individuals. The space is also available for private parties.
The Social Club’s retail space will help fund the recreational portion of the organization, as well as future community projects. Many of the product companies we carry support employment of individuals with disabilities or promote a message of positivity and inclusiveness. The Social Club will also carry many sensory-friendly play products.
