On Thursday, February 1, Laurel Mayor Johnny Magee led Tyson Knight and R.H. Stockman in taking their oaths of office as they were sworn in to the city’s police department.
Knight joins the force as a first-time officer and was accompanied in the ceremony by his wife, Hanna Knight.
Stockman has previously served as a law enforcement officer in Jasper and Jones counties and was accompanied by his son, Ruston Stockman, age 9.
