Laurel, Miss. – Nov. 13, 2024 – The second annual South Central Health Care Foundation Sporting Clay Shoot, which took place on Friday, Nov. 8, at Bar 3 Range, was a huge success raising over $10,000 for the organization.
This year’s Sporting Clay Shoot had a record number of entries, with over 20 teams participating and more money raised than the previous year. These earnings will help support patient benevolence projects and the foundation’s community outreach initiatives such as health screenings, support groups, community assistance and healthcare educational opportunities throughout our service area, which includes Smith, Jasper, Jones and Wayne counties.
This year’s event was presented by Community Bank and sponsored by other area businesses such as Regions Bank, Magnolia Health, Cadence Bank, Endom Trailer, The First Bank, Cintas, Trustmark Bank, Howard Technology Solutions, Magnolia State Bank, Burson Entrekin Orr Mitchell & Lacey, PA, HPIC, Jones College, Dixie Electric, Thermo-Kool, Mississippi Power, American Graphx, Grocery Depot and SouthGroup Insurance Services.
“We simply could not function as an organization without community support, whether it be through participation in events such as this one or through other donations,” said Foundation Director, Kaitlin Bossier. “We are so unbelievably grateful for the support we have received today from sponsors and participants.”
The South Central Health Care Foundation hosts several fundraising events throughout the year, many of which are open to the public. Visit scrmc.com to learn more about the foundation.
