JONES COUNTY — Powers Fire & Rescue will host a blood drive by Vitalant on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire station, 1975 Highway 184 in the Powers community.
Donors can pre-register for an appointment at www.donors.vitalant.org using donor code “powers” or register onsite during the donation hours.
Blood supplies are critically low, and organizers are encouraging residents to donate and help save lives. Donors will also be automatically entered for a chance to win one of two $10,000 prizes from Vitalant, to be awarded at a later date among participants at various Vitalant drives.
