Two men were arrested yesterday after an attention seeking prank left one student terrified. According to an email distributed by USM to faculty, staff, and students,

“The suspects are believed to be part of a social media video prank, and entered a Harkins Hall classroom at approximately 4:15 p.m. One of the apprehended individuals wore all black with Halloween makeup, threw a cup of water on a student and made threatening remarks, while the second individual filmed the encounter.”
One suspect was quickly apprehended. The other suspect turned himself in to USM police a short time later. According to the USM email, neither of the suspects are believed to be affiliated with USM and both have been charged with Trespassing, Disorderly Conduct, and Making Terroristic Threats.
