CARRIERE — Two people were arrested Tuesday after Pearl River County narcotics investigators found methamphetamine during a traffic stop, authorities said.
Investigators with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office were patrolling the Darby Lane area in Carriere on Aug. 19 after receiving community complaints about drug activity, the sheriff’s office said. Around 3 p.m., deputies stopped a 2008 Honda CR-V on Sugar Creek Road near Darby Lane for a traffic violation.
The driver, Denson Parker, 42, and passenger, Erin Doyle, 33, both of Carriere, were taken into custody after investigators searched the vehicle and found methamphetamine, officials said.
Both were booked into the Pearl River County jail on possession of methamphetamine charges.
