Brandon Brooks, a former attorney, has been indicted in Jones County on two counts of sexual battery of a child. Brooks turned himself in shortly before 10:00 a.m. today. Brooks was set to self surrender last Thursday but was reportedly a no show, according to an HPNM source.
Brooks has been reported here twice before. The Mississippi Bar filed an action against Brooks for allegedly taking over a dozen client’s money and not performing legal services. Click here to read that report.Â
Brooks was also reported here when he was found guilty of telephone harrassment and Impersonation in Lamar County, after he he didn’t show up for the trial. Brooks appealed and was found not guilty on Impersonation and guilty on telephone harrassment in Lamar County Court.
