Laurel, Hattiesburg Attorney Charged with 12 Counts of Misconduct by Mississippi Bar Association.

Mississippi Attorney Brandon Brooks, who has had offices in Hattiesburg and Laurel, was charged by the Mississippi Bar Association with twelve counts of misconduct. Brooks will stand trial before the Mississippi Bar Tribunal at an undetermined date in the future.

Brooks, was recently found guilty in Lamar County for impersonating (counterfeiting) a client’s Facebook and harassed him, wrote fake, negative reviews on a opposing council’s Facebook business page in a separate case, and allegedly contacted minors using the fake account. Brooks also left harassing voicemails on the client’s phone.

Since the publication of the Brooks cyberstalking and harassment conviction, dozens of  purported current and former clients of Brooks have alleged that Brooks collected retainers and didn’t provide services. According to clients who contacted HPNM, Brooks collected retainers via cash, cashier’s check, and also using the PayPal account of his now deceased sister-in-law’s grandfather.
